Dr. Curtis J. Whitcomb, Au.D., FAAA
A licensed audiologist who has been helping the people of Idaho to hear better since 1984, Dr. Curtis Whitcomb serves as director of audiology at Treasure Valley Hearing & Balance. Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Whitcomb earned a Master of Science degree in audiology from Idaho State University and a doctorate in audiology from A.T. Still University. Since 1990 Dr. Whitcomb has been a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Whitcomb’s reasons for pursuing a career in audiology are simple: He is devoted to helping others. “I chose audiology as my life’s work,” he says, “because I believe that all people who suffer from hearing loss have the right to hear better, regardless of their age.” Dr. Whitcomb also believes it is his duty as an audiologist to advocate for those suffering from hearing loss, so that they may live life to their fullest potential.
Dr. Whitcomb has been happily married for 35 years and is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. He cherishes every moment he spends with his family, and he tries to stay active in his church. Dr. Whitcomb is also a member of Bugles Across America, and he is often called upon to honor our fallen veterans by sounding “Taps” at military funerals.
